Regional Compulsory Final
NTGA’s NDP Level 1-6 gymnasts braved the snow to compete at the NDP Regional Compulsory Final on Sunday 4th March in Loughborough.
Hoping to book a place at the Regional Team Finals in June NTGA members were victorious in 17 individual categories and picked up a further 9 team wins to bring home a total medal haul of 46.
At NDP 5 Sofia Rands registered an impressive performance on her way to securing the highest score of the day for the second event in a row as she scored 55.10 to win the 11-14 Female, she was joined on the podium by Katie Skellett in 2nd who scored 52.15 and Charlotte Chambers in 3rd with 51.35, Megan Loughney just missed out on a podium finish as she came 4th with 51.10. In the 15+ Female category Esme Rands won 1st place with a score of 52.55 and Mela Moseley came 2nd with 52.40. Esme Feasey just missed out on a podium finish as she scored 48.95 to come 4th.
Jacob Fleet jumped to victory in the NDP 4 13+ Male as he scored 53.25 to record the highest male score of the day. Freya Portrey was equally impressive in the 11-12 Female as she scored 53.60 to finish 1st and was joined on the podium by Freya Miles in 3rd with 50.85. Evie Chapman scored 50.40 to win the 9-10 Female and Katie Bradbury finished 2nd in the 13+ Female as she scored 52.50.
There was an NTGA sweep of the podium in the NDP 3 9-10 Female with Marika Auzenberga claiming top spot with a score of 53.05, ahead of Isobel Scott in 2nd with 52.70 and Sydney Wootton in 3rd with 52.25. Susanna Trimble collected a bronze medal in the 13+ Female as she scored 49.10.
At NDP 2 it was an NTGA one-two in the 11-12 Male as Archie Bradley triumphed with a score of 50.85 ahead of Edward Norris who scored 50.10 to claim 2nd place. Megan Thomas was victorious in the 13+ Female with a score of 50.70 and Cassia Bradley scored 51.45 to win the 9-10 Female. There was a 2nd place finish for Lucy Carter in the 11-12 Female as she scored 47.00.
NDP 1 saw two NTGA clean sweeps as Savanna Wootton, who also claimed the highest Range & Conditioning Score of the day, won the 9-10 Female with a score of 51.25 ahead of Mia Scott in 2nd with 51.05 and Lily Adams in 3rd with 49.70. Not to be outdone the NTGA boys secured a one, two, three as Benjamin Small scored 50.40 to win the 7-10 Male, with Zakary Gayton scoring 50.35 to finish 2nd and George Meech registering 49.55 to come 3rd. In the 11-12 Male Jamie Dartnell scored 48.65 to finish 3rd and it was the same for Emily Simpson in the 11-12 Female as she scored 49.75 to claim a bronze medal.
NTGA lead the way at Club Level with wins in no fewer than six categories. Millie Vassel won the gold medal in the closely contested Club 2 7-8 Women with a score of 50.80, Florence Dormer finished in 2nd with 49.75 and Freya Tauber Anderson came 3rd with 49.70. In the Club 3 7-8 Women Emily Johnson scored 50.40 to win 1st place ahead of Lily Wallis in 2nd with a score of 49.50. Mollie-Mae Brown won the Club 1 7-10 Women with a score of 48.85, Eva Orestano was victorious in the Club 3 9-10 Women as she scored 49.20 and Jonathan Rowland won the Club 3 13+ category with a score of 49.40. There was another NTGA podium sweep in the Club 3 11-12 Women as Holly Souter claimed top spot with 49.15, Lilyana Mineva scored 48.30 to finish 2nd and Tori Glover scored 48.00 to come 3rd.
Other NTGA results included: CLUB 2: 7-8 Women – Sofia Falkner 4th. CLUB 3: 9-10 Women – Phoebe Brown 5th, 13+ – Olivia Robinson 4th. NDP 1: 11-12 Women – Evie Baker 5th, Ruby Markham 9th, 13+ Female – Giorgia Gallone 8th, Sophie Mundy 11th. NDP 3: 13+ Women – Jessica Carter 4th, NDP 4: 13+ Women – Susie Kemish 4th, Georgia Bailey 5th.
