We Are Expanding!

We are delighted to announce that Northamptonshire Trampoline Gymnastics Academy has secured space within Benham Sports Centre to deliver a Gymnastics for All programme.

The currently vacant 379m2 area will be completely refurbished and house brand new state-of-art gymnastics apparatus, with all pieces for Men’s & Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, including a sprung floor.

NTGA will offer a ‘Gymnastics for All’ programme, focussed on grassroots and participation at fundamental levels whilst also providing improvers squads for those wanting to progress. As with our trampoline gymnastics programme we will be fully inclusive and welcome people with wide ranging additional needs and disabilities to enjoy gymnastics in a safe, welcoming and friendly environment. There will also be a full pre-school programme to compliment our current classes.

NTGA is a non-profit organisation and with the total project cost exceeding £50,000 the academy is currently pursuing funding opportunities in the hope of gaining some financial support in order to make best use of the space available and deliver accessible and effective gymnastics classes to all members of the community.

Harvey Smith, Northamptonshire Trampoline Gymnastics Academy Performance Director, said:

“We’re very excited to have this opportunity to expand NTGA in what feels like a very natural progression in to further gymnastic disciplines. It is something we have been considering for some time as the academy has grown to capacity in recent years and the demand continues to rise as we have an ever increasing waiting list.

Gymnastics has always been part of the Benham Centre and after operating in there for 16 years with the trampoline club before building the trampoline centre Kings Park certainly feels like our home. We are really looking forward to our continued working relationship with Benham and everyone at Kings Park.

We are very passionate about what we do at NTGA and our ethos will be the same as we move forward; providing a gold standard service and the opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy gymnastics, encouraging them to be the best that they can be.

Participation in gymnastics generally has never been higher, the results at the last two Olympic Games have really propelled the sport to the forefront and we’ve witnessed a massive spike in interest for trampoline along with a demand for further opportunities, so to be able to provide more access to this amazing sport is fantastic.”

Northamptonshire Trampoline Gymnastics Academy will begin delivering the ‘Gymnastics for All’ programme in November 2018. With the final schedule of classes currently in development please contact us to register your interest.
