About NTGA

Established in 1977, NTGA is one of the premier trampoline clubs in the UK. Located at Kings Park Trampoline Centre (Northampton), Southfield School (Kettering) and Lodge Park Sports Centre (Corby).

Our purpose built main venue in Northampton 11 Olympic sized trampolines, including 3 floor level trampolines for special needs and pre-school, a foam landing pit, static learning rigs, video analysis, time of flight and horizontal displacement machines.

The Academy follows the British Gymnastics competition structure with competitive members at club, regional, national and international level. NTGA has produced numerous County, Regional and British Champions such as James Higgins, 5-time Men’s Senior British Champion. The Club also has a proud history of performers who have represented Great Britain at the highest level. In 2000, Jaime Moore became the first female gymnast to compete for Great Britain in trampoline gymnastics at the Sydney Olympic Games. Former head-coach Tracy Whittaker-Smith represented Team GB at London 2012 & Rio 2016, supporting Team GB’s Bryony Page to an Olympic silver medal.

NTGA was the proud host of pre-Olympic training camps for Australian and Japanese gymnasts prior to the London Olympic Games in 2012. The club has strong domestic and international links with gymnasts from Britain, China, Portugal, Switzerland and New Zealand also attending training camps at the Kings Park Trampoline Centre.

The Academy also runs recreational & foundation squad trampoline classes from our satellite venues in Kettering (Southfield School for Girls) and Corby (Lodge Park Sports Centre) along with a full recreational programme in Northampton. Our weekly Ability Zone programme offers fantastic opportunities for children, young people and adults with wide ranging additional needs to access trampolining in a suitable and welcoming environment.

Trampolining is the perfect sport to develop confidence and improve balance, strength, co-ordination, agility and aerial awareness. NTGA have helped to train a variety of other sportsmen and women, including England Women Rugby Team, Northampton Saints Rugby Football Club, Olympic High Jumpers, Skiers, Snowboarders and Gymnasts, as well as providing training for the necessary skills to become a stunt man/woman.
