The Sports Minister, Richard Caborn along with local MP Sally Keeble and members of the Academy celebrated the cutting of the first turf in April this year. Now just 6 months later the centre is finished and awaiting an internal fit which will include twelve trampolines (3 floor level), foam pit, bungee and static rigs, ballet & wall bars, video analysis equipment and a sensory area for people with disabilities.
The new trampoline centre was made possible thanks to English Gymnastics, British Gymnastics, Sport England, Northamptonshire County Council and Northamptonshire Association of Youth Clubs.

Katie Mackenzie excelled at the Great Britain v Germany youth international, coming home with an individual first place and helping to secure a win for Great Britain over rivals Germany.
This was Katie's first international competition and she was understandably nervous before the event. An experienced coaching team at the Academy helped Katie to prepare well for the international meet and a performance was one that Katie was pleased with.
Katie is looking forward to more international selections as she enjoyed the whole experience of competing for Great Britain .
