16 Winners in Worksop
NTGA’s regional trampoline gymnasts travelled to Worksop for the second NDP Regional Compulsory event on Sunday 28th January 2018.
Starting the year in style NTGA members produced a magnificent display to record 16 individual wins and a further 8 team victories, on the way to a total medal haul of 48.
At Club level there were wins for NTGA members in no fewer than five categories, including two clean sweeps of the podium. In the Club 1 7-8 Female Florence Dormer clinched top spot with a score of 51.80, ahead of teammates Freya Tauber Anderson in 2nd with 51.00 and Millie Vassel in 3rd with 50.85. At Club 2 7-8 Female there was an NTGA one-two as Lily Wallis scored 51.65 to finish in 1st ahead of Sofia Falkner in 2nd with 48.85. Phoebe Brown was victorious in the Club 3 7-10 Female as she scored 51.35 to finish ahead of teammates Eva Orestano in 2nd with 50.85 and Emily Johnson in 3rd with 50.25. In a closely contested Club 3 11-12 Female Holly Souter secured the gold medal with 50.80 and she was joined on the podium by Lilyana Mineva, who finished 3rd with 49.00. Jonathan Rowland missed out on top spot by just 0.10 as he settled for silver in the Club 3 11+ Male category but Erika Jones went one better in the 13+ Female to win with a score of 51.15 and Olivia Robinson finished in 3rd with 47.30. .
At NDP 1 there were impressive performances in the 7-10 Male category which saw Benjamin Small triumph with a total of 50.80, closely followed by Zakary Gayton in 2nd with 50.35 and Auguste Yi Cheng Yoong in 3rd with 50.05. George Meech just missed out on a podium place, scoring 49.35 to finish 4th. Lily Adams won 1st place in the 9-10 Female with a score of 50.50. Emily Simpson, who registered the highest NTGA range and conditioning score with 93%, finished 2nd in the 11-12 Female with 50.55 and Evie Baker finished in 3rd place with 50.10. In the 11+ Male category there was a 2nd place finish for Jamie Dartnell as he scored 49.55 and Giorgia Gallone scored 50.10 to finish 3rd in the 13+ Female.
There was a double celebration for the Bradley family as Archie & Cassia won their respective categories at NDP 2. Archie scored 51.50 to win the 11-12 Male ahead of teammate Edward Norris who finished in 2nd with 50.85 and Cassia won the 9-12 Female with a total score of 51.35. In the 13+ Female Megan Thomas scored 49.10 to claim 3rd place.
In the NDP 3 9-10 Female NTGA members claimed the first five places, with Sydney Wootton coming out on top with a convincing score of 54.25. Isobel Scott scored 52.75 to finish 2nd and Marika Auzenberga was in 3rd with 52.40. Mia Scott (51.35) & Savanna Wootton (51.00) had to settle for 4th & 5th respectively. Susanna Trimble secured her second win of the season as she scored 49.90 to finish 1st the 13+ Female category.
At NDP 4 there was another NTGA podium sweep as 9-12 Female members secured the first four positions. Freya Portrey scored 53.95 to clinch the win, ahead of Beth Waine in 2nd with 52.90 and Evie Chapman in 3rd with 50.45, Freya Miles just missed out on the podium finishing 4th with 49.95. In the 13+ Male Jacob Fleet scored 50.35 to win the gold and Georgia Bailey finished in 3rd place in the 13+ Female as she scored 49.90.
Sofia Rands recorded an excellent two rounds on her way to recording the highest scores of the day across all categories and 1st place in the NDP5 11-14 Female with 55.25. She was joined on the podium by Charlotte Chambers with her score of 51.75 proving enough for 2nd. In the 15+ Female Mela Moseley’s score of 53.20 saw her win the gold medal ahead of Esme Rands, who scored 53.05 to finish 2nd.
As NTGA’s sole representative at NDP 6 Isaac Broadhurst produced a strong two rounds to claim victory in the 13-16 Male, scoring 53.00 to finish over three marks ahead of the nearest competitor.
Other NTGA results included: CLUB 3: 11-12 Female – Tori Glover 7th. NDP 1: 11-12 Female – Ruby Markham 11th, 13+ Female – Sophie Mundy 9th. NDP 4: 13+ Female – Susie Kemish 11th. NDP 5: 11-14 Female – Megan Loughney 4th, Katie Skellett 5th, 15+ Female – Esme Feasey 5th.
